This fictional letter is written from the perspective of Peruvian President Ollanta Humala creating a case for Peru’s (unlikely) permanent membership on the UN Security Council.
This entry is a little weird in that it was supposed to be a research paper, but in the form of a memo. Memos are meant to be short, with the content to be brief and to-the-point. This assignment wanted me to channel my inner President Humala of Peru and pretend I wanted to write a very long letter to then UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon but like, trick him into thinking he’s opening a quick read. Formatting aside, I think this paper is important because of the sheer amount of specific information researched. It is long and dense, and I feel contributes to my studies of organizations–this time on a much grander scale.
